Dennis Tubbs is a life long resident of Thomas County and has been with the agency since 2010. His past experience includes growing up on his family farm, raising grain and cattle, managing a retail business for 11 years and outside sales manager for S&T Communications for 8 years. Using his past experience, he understands the risks and needs in writing personal, commercial and farm insurance. Dennis is an active member of Kiwanis and a Colby Ambassador. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Robin, and their three boys, hunting, fishing and attending local sporting events.

Bonnie has been a resident of Northwest Kansas for 30 years. She has been involved in various activities over the years. Member and board member of the Colby Jaycees for 5 years, Girl Scout leader for two years, involved with son when he was in Boy Scouts, Genesis Board member for two years. Hobbies include but not limited to: being involved with grandchildren and family, camping, swimming, traveling and reading.
Bonnie and her husband Doug have two children – Casey Lewis, lives in Wilson, OK w/wife Paige & their children Lilly & Nixon; Randa Spresser lives in Colby, KS w/husband Jordan & their daughter MaKenzie.

Krystale is the office manager for the Agency. She and her family own and operate Bismarck Farms in North Lawrence. She attended Colby Community College where she met her now husband Lowell. Her insurance favorites include working with farmers and business owners. Krystale has achieved the Farm Certified designation from Nationwide Agribusiness, the largest insurer of farms in the United States. She is also an active member of Kansas Corn Growers Association including being a part of the first Corn Corps program. She has also been a member of Woodlawn Elementary USD 497 Site Council since 2012. Douglas County 4-H is also very important to Krystale. Not only does she actively find more ways to give back to the program she now gets to relive the experience with her two children.

Kent retired from the Kansas Chamber after serving in a variety of positions for seven years with the Kansas Chamber of Commerce with the most recently being the Chief Operating Officer for the Chamber from October 2012 - December 2015.Other positions he held were President & CEO as well as Vice-President of Investor Relations.
Prior to joining the Chamber, Kent was in the beer and beverage distribution business for over 33 years. Kent was the Vice-President and General Manager for Jayhawk Beverage, Inc. & DeBauge Brothers, Inc. Coors, Boulevard and Miller Distributors from 1989 to 2008. From 1975-1989 he was Vice-President and General Manager of V&M Distributing, Inc, a family owned Coors & Miller distributor in Colby, Kansas.
Kent and his family moved to Lawrence in 1989 when Jayhawk Beverage, Inc. was started. Kent has served on the Board of Directors for Team Kansas, a statewide economic development organization. He has also served on the board for several local chamber of commerce and has served multiple times on the Kansas Chamber Board of Directors. He is the member of the Leadership Kansas class of 1983 and served on the Board of Trustees of Leadership Kansas and was named Alumnus of the year in 2012. Additionally, Kent is a long time Rotarian. He is a past President and board memeber of the Kansas Beer Wholesaler's Assoc. Kent was also an Ambassador for Colby Community College. Kent is a past President of both Sacred Heart Church in Colby and Corpus Christi Church in Lawrence. and has served on the Lawrence Liabrary Foundation Board as well as numerous other boards.
Originally from Oakley and Colby, Kansas; Kent studied pharmacy at the University of Arizona and has a business degree from Baker University. Kent played both golf and basketball in college and continues to enjoy watching college basketball and playing golf in his free time. Kent and his wife, Diana, also enjoy time with their three grown children and 3 grandchildren.
Alyson is a University of Kansas 2016 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Leadership with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. During her four years at KU she worked in the banking and financial industry. Alyson comes from a farming and insurance family. Her grandfather Dale Harkins founded Thomas County Insurance in Colby, while also maintaining a farm in Cheyenne county KS. She is daughter of Travis and Sara Oliver who started an insurance agency in Lawrence and Oskaloosa Kansas. They took over Thomas County Insurance and have since continued growing the family business. Alyson is actively engaged in the Lawrence, KS community through volunteer work, attending business community events, and participation in fundraisers for organizations such as Just Food, Lawrence Humane Society, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and more. In her free time, she enjoys boating at the lake, playing/watching sports, attending Chiefs/KU games, and spending time with friends and family.
Alex graduated from University of Kansas with a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. While attending KU, he worked in the finance and banking industry. Alex comes from a family with backgrounds in farming and the military. Both his parents grew up on farms in Nebraska and his father is a U.S. Marine who now works in the tech industry. Alex spends his free time camping, hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
Gabby is a very valuable member of the Kansas Insurance team. She is an Epagneul Breton, also known as a French Brittany, and has been with the agency for as long as she can remember. Gabby spends most of her time assisting Travis in his office, but she also handles all of the agency's tennis ball fetching and tail wagging. In her time off, she enjoys hunting and swimming at the lake with her family.
Robert (Bob) Abel, Jr., is a lifelong resident of Jefferson County. Bob began working in the insurance industry in January of 2005. His past experience as a supervisor with Hallmark Cards, as the Director of Jefferson County Public Works and as a farmer help him to understand the unique insurance needs required in today’s world. His commitment to providing clients the personal touch and communication help him to inform individuals of products available to cover their specific needs. Bob specializes in property and casualty insurance for personal, farm, and commercial needs. His current farming operation helps him to better understand the community’s needs regarding crop insurance. Pamela grew up on a dairy farm North of Lawrence, Kansas. She is a recent graduate of Kansas State University, majoring in Agricultural Economics with a specialty in Animal Science. Pamela has been with Kansas Insurance since April 2013. She has achieved the Farm Certified designation from Nationwide Agribusiness, the largest insurer of farms in the United States. In her spare time Pamela enjoys working with cattle, antique tractor pulling, and spending time with family and friends.
Roy began his insurance career in 1996 and has spent his past 21 years assisting in Northeast Kansas and Southeast Nebraska with their risk tranfer needs. His Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University was in Secondary Business and Computer Education. He started out as an educator in the communities of St. Mary's and Onaga. This background in education as well as longevity in the insurance industry will give you confidence that he can educate you on your insurance needs. Roy was formerly with SBS Insurance Agency in Northeast Kansas and started a branch in Sabetha in 1998 from scratch. Roy and his wife, Shari, are both Bern, Kansas natives. Shari is a special education teacher with Holton Special Education Coop at Sabetha Elementary. They have called Sabetha home for 19 years, and it is there that they have raised their three children. Their eldest daughter Jacqueline lives in Des Moines with her husband Josh, while their two sons, Jacob & Brock, are both currently Kansas State University students. You may have seen Roy in the basketball gym as he spent many years coaching high school basketball at Sabetha. Roy's interests include spending time with family, checking his cattle, and golfing. Roy is also involved in his community serving as a member of Kiwanis, a Sunday School teacher, and an ambassador of the Greater Sabetha Community Foundation. Roy is a member of KAIA and a certified insurance councelor (CIC). He has also served in various capacities with the Kansas Association of Insurance Agents including Young Agents Chair and Activities Committee Member. His specialties are commercial and farm lines of insurance and is also licensed in crop, life, and long term care insurance. Roy will be writing his property and business casualty business out of our Topeka office location. He will be establishing a life and health office in Sabetha, Kansas. Di is an active Tonganoxie resident and community member as Tonganoxie has been her home all her life. She has been in the Insurance Industry for 41 years and brings superior service to all clients.
Di has served as Chairman and President of Team Tongie for over 8 years, served on the Planning Committee for 10 years, and is on site council for the high school. In her spare she coaches softball and attends all her grandkids events.

Travis and his wife Sara are the co-owners of the agency group. Travis serves as the president and oversees all agency operations.
Travis started in the insurance and financial services industry in 1991 with American Express Financial Advisors as a financial consultant. He later moved to Merrill Lynch in the Kansas City office as a financial consultant.
Travis and Sara own over 3,000 acres of farm ground raising wheat, corn, milo, soybeans, and sunflowers.
Travis is the former Chairman of the Board of the Jefferson County Commission. He has served in the past as the Chairman of the Board of the Jefferson County Economic Development Committee and Chairman of the Jefferson County Health Department.
Travis is past Chairman of the Jefferson County Republican Party, and is a former member of the Kansas City Chiefs Red Coaters. He is member of the 2013 Leadership Kansas class.
John Kabus comes to Kansas Insurance with twenty-five years of experience in local government and the agriculture industry. Most recently, John has served as the Shawnee County Noxious Weed Director in Topeka, KS. He has been a strong advocate for noxious weed awareness and eradication and has a life-long personal and professional involvement in the conservation of agriculture and the agriculture industry. John brings his passionate commitment in helping landowners and the community to Kansas Insurance, Inc. Prior to his appointment at Shawnee County, John was the Agricultural Science Instructor and FFA Advisor at Seaman High School in Topeka. He volunteers as a community 4-H leader for the crop judging teams in Shawnee, Jefferson & Jackson counties. John has farming interests and resides in rural Shawnee County with his wife Kaye and three children.
