A fourth-generation native of Lawrence, Kansas, Kim has built a life centered on family, faith, and community service. She and her husband Russell share their home with three dogs and have three grown children—two daughters and a son—who have given them six grandchildren and counting.
Kim is involved in her local church, where she leads Life Groups and volunteers. Her work extends to several nonprofit organizations, including having served on the boards of the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate, Warm Hearts, and a women's networking group. As a 2017 graduate of Leadership Lawrence, Kim continues to serve the community of her hometown.
Professionally, Kim brings over two decades of experience to her work. Licensed as an insurance professional since 2000, she has specialized in Commercial and Business Insurance since 2008. In 2018, she obtained her real estate license, enhancing her professional experience.
