Roy began his insurance career in 1996 and has spent his past 28 years assisting in Northeast Kansas and Southeast Nebraska with their risk transfer needs. His Bachelor of Science degree from Kansas State University was in Secondary Business and Computer Education. He started out as an educator in the communities of St. Mary’s and Onaga. This background in education as well as longevity in the insurance industry will give you confidence that he can educate you on risk management needs.
Roy was formerly with SBS Insurance Agency in Northeast Kansas and started the Sabetha branch in 1998 from scratch. Roy and his wife, Shari, are both Bern, Kansas natives. Shari is a special education teacher with Holton Special Education Coop at Sabetha Elementary. They have called Sabetha home for 25 years, and it is there that they raised their three children.
His specialties are commercial and farm lines of insurance and is also licensed in crop, life, and long-term care insurance. Roy renovated the 621 Main building in Sabetha and works with his NEK KS and SE NE customers there.
